Jesse was born and raised in Forest Knolls, California. The son of an artist and a filmmaker, he grew up drawing, painting, taking photographs, and editing video.

Exposure at a young age to world-class graffiti in Paris and New York inspired early attempts at beautifying walls and bridges, and firmly ingrained the idea that art was not just for museums.

In 2001 he graduated with class 40 from the Vancouver Film School's New Media department.

In 2007 he graduated from CU Boulder with a bachelors degree in Studio Arts.

Jesse lived in a solar-powered home outside of Ward, Colorado from 2007 to 2015 with his dog, Budders. They now reside in Northern California.
